A former admissions director at Bryan College, Mark A. Cruver currently helps college-bound students navigate the selection and admission process as the founder of Capstone Educational Consultants of Fayetteville, Georgia. Outside of work, Mark A. Cruver enjoys traveling outdoors, reading, and attending Southside Church in Peachtree City, Georgia.
Founded by residents of southern Atlanta in 2005, Southside Church was inspired by North Point Community Church in nearby Alpharetta. The church counts approximately 1,800 people among its regular congregants.
Southside Church, in keeping with its grassroots origins, encourages churchgoers to get involved in the activities of the church beyond Sunday worship services through the “Four Things”: Connect, Give, Invite, and Serve.
In the first “thing,” members connect with each other and grow their faith through community groups, which match up 8 to 12 adults in similar life stages and geographic locations for weekly meetings. The church creates groups every January and August at its GroupLink events. The actual meetings take place in members’ homes.
